Director dealings: Media chiefs in Mood for buying

MOOD Media, which provides background music and video for shops and leisure venues, recently announced record quarterly revenues.

Revenue was up 62 per cent in the three months to 30 June, with adjusted earnings up by 59 per cent.

Lorne Abony, chairman and chief executive, said the performance had been down to providing a “broader and more valuable” range of products and services to customers.

The company highlighted progress with digital signage during the period, when it installed 1,134 new visual sites for international brands including Clear Channel, Volkswagen, and Skoda.

Following the results, board members went into the market to purchase shares. The biggest buyer was non-executive director Philippe von Stauffenberg, who purchased 203,000 shares at 154.5p each.

• Adrian Toner, a director at financial software company First Derivatives, has sold 10,000 shares at 472.5p each.

• Robert De Barr, a director at Sutton Harbour Holdings, has bought his first stake in the company with the purchase of 10,000 shares at 22.5p each.

• Mark Adorian, a non-executive director at software group StatPro, has purchased 100,000 ordinary shares in the data solutions provider at 95p each. He now holds more than 2.6 million shares in the company.

• Matteo Perruccio, a non-executive director of Jupiter Fund Management, has reduced his stake with the sale of 30,000 shares for around 225p each. He now holds 83,333 shares.

Earlier this month the company reported an acceleration of flows of money into its core mutual funds business during the second quarter of the year. Total assets under management stood at £23.4 billion at the end of June, up from £22.8bn at the end of 2011.

• Tim Mitchell, group underwriting and claims director at RSA Insurance, has sold 77,500 shares at 113.48p each.

• Jonathan Keeling, chief executive at broking group Arden, has acquired an additional 8,510 shares through his personal pension at 43p each. He now holds just over 1.5 million shares in the group.
