Contract win for Balfour Beatty

THE Scottish Government has handed a £31.5 million fit-out contract for the new Scottish Crime Campus in Gartcosh to infrastructure giant Balfour Beatty.

The campus will bring together several of the country’s law enforcement bodies, including the Scottish Crime & Drug Enforcement Agency, the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the Crown Office and HM Revenue & Customs and will provide specialist office accommodation and forensic science laboratories.

The campus is due to be completed later next year and is expected to house 1,100 staff.

The £25m main core and shell of the building was built by Graham Construction. Balfour will advertise subcontracting work through the Scottish Procurement Portal.
