Chief ups stake in oil recycler
SHARES in Hydrodec, which recycles specialist oils, rose strongly earlier this month after the company said it expected to report significant growth in full-year revenues for 2011.
The company said the rise was driven by higher pricing and improved margins as it benefited from a diversification of its customer base.
Shares in the company have already risen by more than 40 per cent over the past year but following the results non-executive director Andrew Black went into the market to increase his holding. He bought 250,000 shares at 10.6p.
• Mike Lord, chairman and chief executive of JSJS Designs, which specialises in home automation systems, has purchased 250,000 shares at 1.20p. He now holds more than 67.7 million shares, or 18.3 per cent, of the company.
• David Stoller, chairman of media group Pivot Entertainment, has upped his stake in the company with the purchase of 150,000 shares at 16.5p each. He now owns 10.15 million shares.
• Construction and property consultancy Sweett last week said it completed a brand consolidation exercise across Europe, the Middle East, India, southeast Asia and Australia which will bring all its operations under the same name. Following the move several directors went into the market to increase their holdings in the company. Chairman Michael Henderson was among the buyers, purchasing 30,000 shares at 21p each. He now holds 372,011 shares in the firm.
