INSURANCE giant Aviva said yesterday it will bring in the boss of its Canadian operations to lead its general insurance business in the UK and Ireland.
Maurice Tulloch has been with the company since 1992 and was appointed chief executive for Canada in 2009. Under his leadership, operating profits in the Canadian business have grown by 63 per cent.
He will take over from Robin Spencer in the domestic role at the end of the month.
Aviva has been rebuilding its top team since the arrival of chief executive Mark Wilson at the start of the year, while cutting jobs in an efficiency drive. Some executives have been brought into the group and others have been promoted from within the business.
