Begbies grows into new base

Insolvency and business rescue specialist Begbies Traynor has moved into larger offices in Edinburgh following a doubling in its headcount.

Staff numbers at the firm’s capital office have risen from ten to 20 over the past three years, which led it to seek a larger base than its previous home on Canning Street. The firm, which employs almost 70 people in Scotland, has signed a five-year lease for more than 3,200sq ft of space at Edinburgh Quay, which it said was a more “prestigious environment for clients”.

Partner Paul Dounis said: “Not only are our new offices in a fantastic location in the heart of Edinburgh’s financial district, the grade A office space reflects the continuing success of the Edinburgh practice and also provides the additional room we will need for further expansion over the next three to five years.”
