OIL and gas services firm Asco has completed a hat-trick of acquisitions in Canada as the Aberdeen-based firm presses ahead with its international expansion plans.
Chief operating officer Derek Smith said: “Supported by increased investment from private equity firm Doughty Hanson, our board has ambitious plans for this business and we are realising these plans through organic growth and acquisitions.”
Taking over Docktor Oilfield Transport Corporation, EJR Trucking and Manatokan Oilfield Logistics will double Asco’s headcount in Canada to 260. The firm has a total of 2,000 staff spread around the world.
