Mall to be Centre of attention
A NEW shopping centre in the Lothians is set to be unveiled this week.
Elements Square – the 130 million extension to the Almondvale Shopping Centre in Livingston – is due to open on Thursday.
The two centres together, to be branded as The Centre, will employ more than 1500 staff in 155 shops and nearly one million square feet of retail space. It is also to be anchored by large Marks & Spencer and Debenhams units – the first department stores to be located in Livingston.
Jennifer Bruce, marketing manager of The Centre, said: "The opening of the eagerly-anticipated Elements Square and the creation of The Centre will bring a fantastic new shopping destination to the town, one which our customers have been keen to see come to fruition."
