London Pride a little dented
LONDON Pride brewer Fuller, Smith & Turner yesterday said interim profits fell 6 per cent to £12 million during a challenging period for the pub and brewing industry.
West London-based Fuller described its performance as "resilient" and highlighted a 2.3 per cent improvement in like-for-like sales at its managed pubs and hotels.
Revenues from 360 pubs, six hotels and the brewing operation rose 1 per cent to 94.4m for the 26 weeks to 27 September. However, it said rising commodity and energy prices also meant a 5.5m increase in costs.
