London cream for Wiseman
ROBERT Wiseman Dairies is in talks to sell its products in London through the UK’s number one supermarket group, Tesco.
The East Kilbride company is keen to improve its position of fourth largest player in England and Wales by driving the firm’s business into the south-east, and said a deal could be a matter of weeks away. It already has a similar arrangement with Tesco in the north of England and Scotland.
On Friday, Robert Wiseman announced a 24% rise in interim pre-tax profits to 11.1m. The company added that could raise funding of around 50m for acquisitions.
