The hard sell

David Stockton (Letters, 13 July) raised some valid points about the “hard sell” approach taken by some charities.

I know the “chuggers” who come up to you on the street have a job to do and most of them mean well, but I can’t stand being approached in this manner and often end up feeling less well disposed towards the charities they represent.
