Scotland squad suffer travel setback ahead of Germany match

SCOTLAND could have further damaged their chances against Germany after a nightmare journey home from Georgia.

To add to their woes, a delayed charter flight from Amsterdam held the squad up at Tbilisi airport for eight hours.

Outwith their control, the overnight energy-sapping journey will no doubt have made an impact on the players, further held up at Glasgow airport to meet with sponsors and the media. (Various)

Mark Warburton determined to do big business

RANGERS boss Mark Warburton is reportedly determined to ‘wheel and deal’ during his tenure at Ibrox after seeing Celtic rake in £9 million profit on Virgil van Dijk.

Warburton chose not to spend on the last day of the transfer window and has said he will re-assess his squad in January instead.

He also hinted that when he does spend, it will be on a player he can develop and increase in value like he did with players Moses Odubajo, Andre Gray and Stuart Dallas at Brentford. (Sunday Mail)
