Scotplast repackaged after £1m NorthPac investment
A NEWLY created company has acquired the operations of Scotplast, the Glasgow-based packaging specialist, and plans to invest £1 million and create 20 jobs.
NorthPac said its four-year plan would see it develop a range of new products and move into additional markets under the leadership of new managing director, Jason Gallo.
Scotplast was marketed for sale and bought by NorthPac following a strategic review by listed group Robinson, which had said in August that it was writing off its investment in the business following challenging trading conditions.
Stewart Whyte, corporate partner with law firm McClure Naismith, which advised NorthPac, said: “The deal is a great result for all parties and will be welcomed by trade customers, who value Scotplast’s long tradition of innovation.”
