Azzuri signs £1m call centre contract
AZZURI Scotland, the division of the UK telecoms equipment and services company, has signed a £1 million deal with the Glasgow-based call centre EssentiaGroup.
The deal will see Azzuri, which supplies and manages fixed and mobile communications packages, install an Avaya telephone system in its contact centre in Skypark, Finnieston.
Azzurri, headed by Stuart McAlpine, expanded into Scotland in 2000 with the acquisition of Kilbride Communications in 2000. The Scottish division now oversees 60m of business for BT.
Azzuri's services also include consultancy on reducing voice, data and mobile phone costs, as well as the design and implementation of complex technology and communications networks.
EssentiaGroup is a contact centre that provides information and advice services in the area of health and lifestyle management to governmental, commercial, charitable and membership organisations, including the Scottish Executive, NHS Health Scotland and the Central Office of Information.
The company, established more than 20 years ago, handles more than six million calls a year and employs more than 450 telephone staff. It has operations at three centres in the UK, in Glasgow, Newcastle and Sutherland.
