Hovis gets ready to spread the word with £30m advertising campaign
A NEW television advertising campaign is to form part of a £30 million relaunch of Hovis – the biggest ever for a bread brand.
Premier Foods, which bought Hovis in March last year as part of its 1.34 billion purchase of RHM, is hoping for a triumphant return of the 122-year-old brand.
The drive will highlight the "healthy" properties of the bread that were part of its appeal when it was first made in 1886, and will play on ideas of Britishness.
Scottish child actor Brian Mackie will hit television screens across the nation later this week as the face of the new campaign.
