Home care firm set for growth
THE UK's fastest-growing provider of care at home is preparing for further growth in Edinburgh this year.
Bluebird Care's office at Castlebrae Business Centre was set up in June by Jane Perry, a city businesswomen who was facing redundancy for the fourth time in her career. The Edinburgh operation has grown since its launch and is now predicting further growth in 2009.
Bluebird now has 34 offices and is reporting month-on-month growth of 20 per cent.
Ms Perry said: "Research, plus my own experience, proves that people would much rather receive care in the comfort of their own homes, as opposed to going into residential care.
"I am confident that we will build on the firm foundations established last year and sustain steady growth in 2009."
