Greene King in £270m swoop for Hardys pubs
BELHAVEN Brewery owner Greene King has snapped up the 174-year-old Hardys & Hansons group in a £270 million deal.
Greene King said the board of the historic East Midlands brewer, which owns 268 pubs, had backed its takeover proposal.
Suffolk-based Greene King said the move would add to its 2400-strong pub estate - and, crucially, provide it with a presence in the East Midlands region.
