Gaia wins £5m turbine contract
Renewable energy firm Gaia-Wind has secured a £5 million-plus contract to supply some 200 turbines for installation in England and Wales.
The firm, which develops and supplies small wind turbines, typically for farms, rural properties and and remote businesses, said the deal with Myriad CEG Power would “create job opportunities in both companies”.
Johnnie Andringa, chief executive of Glasgow-based Gaia-Wind, said: “This is a record breaking contract for us and will enhance our position as the UK’s leading manufacturer of small wind turbines.”
