Former Lloyds chief joins John Lewis
HELEN Weir, who departed as executive director of Lloyds Banking Group’s retail division last year alongside insurance boss Archie Kane, has become group finance director John Lewis Group.
Weir left the bank in a management shake-up ordered by Lloyds’s chief executive Antonio Horta‑Osorio. She is taking over from Marisa Cassoni at the department store group. Cassoni announced her retirement last September.
Charlie Mayfield, chairman of John Lewis, which also includes Waitrose, said Weir would bring “a wealth of both finance and retail experience”.
