Good concepts grab interest

The deal pipeline remains strong in the bars and restaurant sector, with demand for quality “concepts” grabbing investors’ interest, a report out today indicates.

Accountancy firm BDO’s research notes that “nimble operators” and a renaissance in burgers and quality fast food has given people the confidence to invest in the sector.

BDO’s David Campbell said: “Four years of recession have seen people focus on value, but that doesn’t mean they won’t pay a premium price for a quality product.”
