THE Glasgow owners of an energy drink launched last year are predicting a surge in sales which have already reached more than two million cans around the world each month.

Athif Sarwar and Garvies Soft Drinks managing director Nasir Hamid say monthly sales of Dynamite are currently running at nearly £333,000. That is expected to rise to some £500,000 as the firm expands into new markets.

Targeted at cost-conscious consumers, Dynamite can be up to one-third cheaper than other leading brands. It is currently available in Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa and the UAE. Additional distribution deals are being negotiated.

Sarwar, whose family owns the United Wholesale cash-and-carry business, said: “It’s another great product that I’m proud to be associated with, and its global sales have been a satisfying element of an already hugely successful 2014.”
