Escape route to Glasgow

ESCAPE, one of Scotland's leading recruitment consultants, is to open its doors in Glasgow as part of its Scottish expansion plan.

The Livingston-based group, founded in 2000 by Anne-Marie Hamill and Adrian Brady, is expecting to take on around 20 new staff to service the west coast base, doubling its workforce.

Escape is also looking to expand into the north and east of Scotland once the Glasgow office is established. Ms Hamill said: "We already have a team of eight people working as a 'virtual' Glasgow office in preparation for the move in February. By doing so, we hope to make the transition as painless and hassle-free as possible."

Escape has averaged a growth rate of 40 per cent year-on-year over its lifespan. Last year, it had a turnover of 5 million.

Mr Brady said: "When we established Escape we were driven by the belief that we could offer clients something new and exciting in the field of recruitment. We see this as crucial to our success to date and are looking forward to this next, significant stage of growth with the establishment of an office in Glasgow."
