EI's NanoTaurus sold to Swiss
EDINBURGH Instruments (EI) has sold its NanoTaurus instrument, which can be used in drug development, to an unnamed Swiss pharmaceuticals firm.
Parts of NanoTaurus were developed through a research programme run by ITI Life Sciences, one of the publicly-funded companies that invests in innovation. The sale of NanoTaurus triggers a royalties payment for ITI Life Sciences. Des Smith, EI's chairman, said NanoTaurus was also being used at Dundee and Edinburgh universities.
