Edinburgh waterfront plans
EDINBURGH Council has merged several of its property vehicles into one company that will bring forward the city's regeneration plans. The EDI Group, a private company 100 per cent owned by the council and its subsidiaries, will merge with its holding company, CEC Holdings, along with Waterfront Edinburgh Limited.
The merger is intended to ensure that Edinburgh's regeneration proposals are taken forward by one company which can become a major player over the next 10 to 15 years.
