Dylan's art strikes a chord with investors
THE latest Bob Dylan limited edition signed prints from his Drawn Blank series will be unveiled in the UK on Saturday and are as likely to appeal to investors as art lovers.
The musician-turned-artist is set to provide a recession-beating return to businesses and individuals who buy from the collection, according to Breeze art gallery owner Bob Corsie.
He said since the first release of prints from Drawn Blank was made available in June last year, a number have almost doubled in value while most have increased by at least 20 per cent.
Corsie owns Breeze which has galleries in Peebles, Jenners on Princes Street and at Loch Lomond Shores and he will be opening a space in House of Fraser in Glasgow next month.
There is only one other gallery in Scotland which has permission to sell the prints from Washington Green, which owns their UK rights. The limited availability is one reason they make such a lucrative investment, according to experts.
Corsie said: "We have a long waiting list for the new collection from customers all over the world so I expect that will also sell out within days."
