DSL's new dragon
A FORMER economic development chief for Scotland has joined the board of the Glasgow-based not-for profit lender DSL Business Finance, which runs a £1.5m loan fund for small firms which cannot get money from the banks.
Iain Carmichael held senior roles at Scottish Enterprise between 1991 and 2007. He will sit on DSL's Dragons' Den-style panel, in front of which small firms present ideas to get loans. In 2008-9 DSL handed out 1m.
