Denholm search nets online firm
JOHN Denholm, the founder of the Leith Agency, who quit to work full-time at his wife's recruitment venture Denholm Associates, has racked up another chairmanship taking the helm at internet marketing firm Ambergreen.
Denholm, who still holds a non-executive post with Leith, will take a similar role with Ambergreen working one or two days a month.
Ambergreen's search engine optimisation involves adjusting the words, pictures and code on websites to make it more likely that users will find them using key words and phrases.
Denholm said that he wanted to build up the awareness of a brand that was at the top of its game.
He said: "Search is following a similar path to that of advertising, with the big media buyers simply trading on the fact they are big and can throw technology at a campaign. In the highly complex and constantly changing sphere of search, it is vital that agencies have the talent and skill to help clients.
"I have experience in building teams, providing an effective structure and creating awareness."
Ambergreen was set up by Tino Nombro, Grant Whiteside and entrepreneur Richard O'Connor.
