Craneware's healthy figures
CRANEWARE, the Livingston-based firm whose software helps healthcare providers reduce billing errors, saw its profit and sales rise over its latest half year, as 96 more hospitals were added to its books, taking its total to 878.
Over the six months to December 31, the company, which was founded in 1999 and listed on the Alternative Investment Market last September, saw profit increase by 21 per cent to 1.02 million on revenues up 24 per cent at 4.42m.
Craneware's flagship product, the Chargemaster Toolkit, is principally used in the United States and the company, which employs around 100 staff, has offices in Florida, Arizona and Kansas.
Chief executive Keith Neilson said recent US legislative changes "have and will continue to work in our favour", and added: "Our pipeline is strong."
