A Fife-based venture that focuses on management learning and development has become the Institute of Export’s (IoE) first accredited training centre in Scotland.

The accreditation will enable St Andrews Management Centre (STAMC) to deliver the IoE’s suite of internationally recognised export qualifications, with a focus on those who are just getting started in global trading.

The mission of the IoE, which was established in 1935, is to enhance the export performance of the UK by setting and raising professional standards in international trade management and export practice.

Jeff Lockhart, director and co-founder of STAMC, said: “As the world becomes a smaller place even small Scottish firms are looking beyond our own horizons for new customers.

“The Certificate in International Trade will provide young learners with the know-how and confidence they need to make their mark on the international marketplace.”
