Logistics group John Menzies today said it has secured its delivery contract with newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror for a further six years.
The Edinburgh-based group said the deal with the Daily Mirror and Daily Record owner was worth £150 million a year.
David McIntosh, managing director of Menzies Distribution, said: “This renewal is a further step in underpinning our core business.
“We now have contracts with six major publishing groups secured through to 2019 and this allows us to build for the future with confidence.”
Trinity Mirror has also extended its contract with newspaper and magazine wholesaler Smiths News until October 2019. Smiths said the deal was valued at about £143m a year and equates to 15 per cent of the national newspaper distribution market.
