A MAKER of audio equipment used by Aberdeenshire musician Emeli Sandé and rock band Muse has unveiled plans to join the Alternative Investment Market next month.
Focusrite, founded by former Led Zeppelin soundman Phil Dudderidge, announced the move as it reported a 14 per cent rise in revenues to £41 million for the year to August.
Dudderidge said: “An initial public offering is the next logical step in the group’s growth strategy as we seek to grow our market share further.”
The firm traces its roots back to 1985, when Beatles producer Sir George Martin asked legendary audio designer Rupert Neve to upgrade the recording desks at his Air Studios facility.
