Fashion chain Topshop will get its first glimpse of the Chinese market this week when a 14,000sq ft flagship store opens its doors in Hong Kong.
Owner Sir Philip Green said he was confident that fashion-loving Hong Kong consumers would enjoy the experience his shops provided.
He said: “This is a very exciting step in the continued growth of Topshop as a global, yet uniquely British, brand.”
Topshop says Hong Kong shoppers will be able to enjoy its best ranges at the new store, which opens on Thursday.
They will include Unique, the seasonal collection shown at London Fashion Week; Boutique, the brand’s premium limited edition line; and the designer collaborations for which Topshop is famous.
There will also be items exclusive to the Hong Kong store, such as collectable T-shirts and beanie hats.
In the run up to the opening, the group has taken to the streets of the former British colony with a “sweet truck” giving away free treats, gift cards and Topshop’s own magazine.
