SHIRTBYHAND, the specialist in made-to-measure shirts founded by Robert Hoving, is hoping to cut a dash in the world of women’s fashion with its latest creations.
Backed by Scottish Rugby winger Tim Visser, who went on board as marketing director after the Edinburgh-based firm kitted out the squad for after-match functions, ShirtbyHand promises to deliver its products within three weeks of customers having their measurements taken.
Visser, who was born in the Netherlands but qualifies to play for Scotland through residency, teamed up with stylist Debra Hogan, owner of personal shopping service One Velvet Morning, to showcase the designs in Stockbridge.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: “ShirtbyHand is striving to open up the female market for tailor-made shirts in both the corporate and casual markets. They are designs aimed to take women through every sphere of life, from the office to home to social engagements.”
