Gretna Gateway Outlet Village, home to 50 big-name brands including Berghaus, Molton Brown, Nike (pictured) and Superdry, has unveiled its sixth consecutive year of record trading and visitor numbers.
Figures released yesterday showed total sales at the site in Dumfries and Galloway rose 11 per cent in 2014, with like-for-like sales up 6 per cent and visitor numbers 7 per cent ahead of the previous year. Sales for the Christmas week were 15 per cent ahead of last year, with like-for-like sales up 8 per cent.
Gretna Gateway employs more than 400 staff and last year welcomed in excess of two million shoppers.
General manager Peter Gardner said: “Our stores have continued to attract record visitor numbers and sales – proof, we believe, of Gretna Gateway’s winning combination of an impressive tenant mix including many top brands, plus year-round quality.”
