An Aberdeenshire designer has taken the wraps off a new print firm following strong demand from across the region.

Alasdair Corbett previously worked as a creative designer at Peterhead-based recruitment agency Genesis Personnel. He has now teamed up with Genesis boss Wendy Marr and Charlie Clark, managing director of Aberdeen-based LJF Powder Coating, to set up the firm, called StudioFour.

Corbett said: “Charlie, Wendy and I recognised the demand for design services in Peterhead and put our innovative minds together to come up with a strategy for the business.

“They have helped provide me with the courage and resources needed to put both my design skills and business acumen to the test, and I can’t thank them enough for this opportunity. I never thought I would be starting my own business at such a young age and I’m very grateful for their help and support.”

Marr added: “Since Ali’s first day at Genesis Personnel, his talent in creative design has shone through; a talent that was also recognised by Charlie, when Ali carried out design work for LJF Powder Coatings. We have been able to hit the ground running, and Charlie and I both have full confidence that Ali has what it takes to make the business succeed.”

StudioFour has already worked with the likes of Peterhead FC and will be designing the graphics for this year’s Aberdeen Student Show.
