A development company approaching its second anniversary is to explore new markets after identifying a lack of its type of exclusive-use luxury self-catering property.
Braemore Estates is behind Gamefield near Crieff, which sleeps up to ten and holds a five-star rating from VisitScotland, and the company’s managing director William Frame said the business is aiming to increase bookings by around 50 per cent.
He said the firm is targeting the Canadian, Swedish and London markets, for example, as well as the corporate sector. “We are already well ahead on our equivalent bookings for this time last year,” he said.
Frame, also co-owner of St Andrews fish and chip restaurant Cromars, added: “We have proved very popular with the European market with an increasing number of visitors coming from Germany and the Netherlands, many of whom repeat book. We have a booking already in place for 2017 from a Swiss customer, which is fantastic.”
Jim Clarkson, VisitScotland regional partnerships director, said it was “fantastic” to hear the firm’s exploration plans..”
