Car dealer John Clark Motor Group is investing more than £500,000 in its network with the addition of three new brands.
The Aberdeen-based firm is to convert former Audi showrooms in the city into sites for Dacia, Peugeot and Renault, which are expected to open early next year.
The move will create 53 jobs, taking the family-owned group’s total headcount to more than 1,200.
Refurbishment of the sites will allow for ten Renault models and three Dacia vehicles to be displayed in one showroom and eight Peugeot cars.
In addition to those three brands, the development will include a used car facility operating under the Clark Motorchoice banner, which already operates in Edinburgh.
Business development director Chris Clark said: “Aberdeen plays a significant role in our group success and the latest moves with Peugeot, Dacia and Renault will build on the success through the diversity of cars we offer.
“We are putting significant investment toward developing and refurbishing what was our Audi facility on Abbotswell Road for these three new brands and we look forward to welcoming new customers and current owners in the new year.”
Andrew Simpson, who currently manages the group’s Nissan dealerships, will become franchise director for the Peugeot, Dacia and Renault suite.
He said: “The new team members will be key in delivering high standards of customer service and we will invest in training to ensure they are equipped to do just that.”
John Clark, which saw its turnover jump 28 per cent to £604 million last year, also has dealerships in Cupar, Dundee, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Perth.
