Glasgow-based McCrea Financial Services is celebrating 15 years supporting the best of sport in Scotland.

The firm has provided strong support to Partick Thistle FC and Glasgow Warriors rugby club, as well as supporting other major sports, including Wimbledon wheelchair singles and doubles champion Gordon Reid and the Scottish Seniors Golfing Society.

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend, who was named this week as the new Scotland coach, joined his opposite number at Partick Thistle, Alan Archibald, speaking to guests at a specially organised gathering, hosted by broadcaster Eilidh Barbour.

The firm’s track record of supporting charity in Glasgow and beyond has seen it help raise more than £350,000 over the last decade. In 2016, it is fundraising for Beatson Cancer Charity and Venture Scotland Trust.

Managing director and founder Douglas McCrea said: “We are proud to have reached this significant milestone in our support of sport in the city of Glasgow.

“We have been fortunate to have had great success as a business and so it has always been important for us to share that across charity and sport.”

Townsend added: “McCrea Financial Services have been a proactive and engaging sponsor with Warriors for many years. Like us, they’re passionate about Glasgow as a city and the benefits that sport brings to a community and we look forward to their support again this season.”
