JOB growth in Edinburgh has soared ahead of the national average for the second month running, according to figures from one of the UK’s biggest vacancy websites.

Postings for roles in the capital rose by more than 61 per cent last month, well beyond the UK growth average of 29.8 per cent. The CV-Library job board also recorded a 36 per cent rise in the number of CVs registered in Edinburgh during May, suggesting there are ample candidates to fill these positions.

It was a similar story in April, when the number of postings rose by 79 per cent on the same period a year earlier.
