CELEBRITY chefs Delia Smith, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Prue Leith have donated flour-based recipes to charity Spark+Mettle, which helps young people in cities across the UK – including Edinburgh.
The trio are backing the charity’s “flour-ish” campaign to share happy-making recipes to mark so-called “Blue Monday”, which is due to hit in two days time – the day in the year when people are at their lowest, according to research.
The organisation was launched last year to help young people fulfil their potential.
“By baking and sharing with friends, family or colleagues, you can spread a little cheer and bolster your own mood too,” said charity founder, Eugenie Teasley.
Recipes can be accessed for free from www.flour-ish.org.uk.
