City trio amongst growth elite
THREE businesses from the Capital are among an elite group of the UK's fastest-growing firms.
Head Resourcing, the Manor Place-based recruitment firm, was in fifth place on the 2008 Real Business/LDC Hot 100 league table. It is the second consecutive year the firm has reached the top five and it has achieved growth averaging 160 per cent a year over the past four years.
Rocela, the Edinburgh oracle specialist, was in sixth place on the list, while housebuilder Applecross was at number 32.
The league table tracks the fastest-growing firms by sales over the past four years.
Grant Berry, UK regional managing director of LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds TSB, said: "This is a fantastic achievement by three local businesses to have joined the ranks of the country's fastest growing companies."
