Citigate PR group quits Scotland
PUBLIC relations firm Citigate Dewe Rogerson has pulled out of Scotland amid a wider review of the London-based consultancy’s global network.
The firm’s Edinburgh operation, its sole office north of the Border, has been sold to its managers and re-branded as Mullin & Magowan. Partners John Mullin and Conor Magowan, both previously of Citigate, have retained a number of their former employer’s clients.
The transaction completed on 1 February, with many details still covered by confidentiality clauses. However, Mullin yesterday described the deal as “an amicable separation”.
“It was decided by Huntsworth, which owns Citigate, that because of the current climate they were reviewing their operations in Brussels, Birmingham and Scotland, and as a result of that Colin and I decided to take over and continue to service our clients here,” he said.
