Channel 4 property shows know the mform

CHANNEL 4, which broadcasts a number of property programmes, including Location, Location, Location, will refer millions of mortgage inquiries to comparison service mform.co.uk.

Property Ladder and Grand Designs are also broadcast on the channel and the property section of its website offers a range of advice, from DIY to selling a house.

Now visitors to www.channel4.com/4homes will be able to compare the mortgage market using mform's service, whether they are buying or remortgaging.

Edinburgh-based mform enables users to find the "true cost" of loans, taking all associated fees into account.

It said that, unlike many mortgage websites, it offers direct mortgages from lenders rather than limiting customers to products from brokers, which are often more expensive.

Channel4.com/4home attracts about two million visitors a month and the association with its brand name will boost mform's profile.

Mform has also signed a deal to provide mortgage finder services to Tiscali's money channel, which generates around seven million visitors each month.

Eamonn Rice, chief executive of mform, said: "These two deals take the volume of people who will potentially be using our service to the next level. Both Channel 4 and Tiscali are well known brands that are trusted by customers."

He added that while the house buying market is still slow, there is a high number of borrowers using the mform service to remortgage.

The new deals are the latest in a series for mform.co.uk, which also has an agreement with independent financial website This Is Money, and there are more partnerships in the pipeline, according to Rice.
