CBRE to sell Lloyds' Fountainbridge site
LLOYDS Banking Group has chosen property firm CB Richard Ellis to sell Scottish & Newcastle's former Fountainbridge brewery to the west of Edinburgh city centre.
The site was due to be turned into HBOS's head office until the banking crisis and emergency takeover by Lloyds. Thirteen acres are up for sale.
Planning permission in principle was secured earlier this year for a mixed-use development including retail, leisure, residential, a hotel and student accommodation.
Lloyds has already agreed to sell two acres of the site to Edinburgh Napier University.
