Carlton sells bingo halls for £1.35m
BINGO hall operator Carlton Clubs has sold two bingo halls, in Edinburgh and Grangemouth, for a combined total of £1.35 million.
The firm has sold the Tivoli Bingo Hall at Gorgie Road, Edinburgh, to the Destiny Church for 900,000, while it has also sold its bingo hall in Station Road, Grangemouth, to Cabri (Three) for 450,000.
Simon Bashford, a surveyor with Jones Lang LaSalle, which acted for Carlton Clubs, said: "The Edinburgh deal reflects the fact that modern day automated bingo now require more contemporary premises."
