Capsoft keeps cool after HotDocs deal

LEXISNEXIS has sold its HotDocs software business to Edinburgh-based Capsoft for an undisclosed sum.

Capsoft was already the distributor for HotDocs software in Europe, Australasia and the Pacific Rim.

HotDocs was originally used by law firms but now insurance companies, banks and government agencies use the software to create customised contracts, court forms and other legal documents.

Russell Shepherd, Capsoft's chief executive, said: "This is a natural progression and one that I am very excited about."
