Call for cost drop for running small firms

THE Federation for Small Business in Scotland has called for governments at local, Scottish and UK levels to make operating more affordable, claiming small businesses will help the UK trade on its way to recovery in 2010.

Andy Willox, the FSB's Scottish Policy Convener, said that it would be companies with fewer than 50 staff which would be "the job creators, getting more people into work, more money into the economy and more tax receipts into the Treasury".
