Caley cools sell-off fears
THE Caledonian Brewery sees "no reason" why Carlsberg and Heineken would want to sell Scottish & Newcastle's 30 per cent stake in the firm.
Stephen Crawley, head of one of the city's last remaining breweries, said he believes it will be business as usual when the consortium completes its 7.8 billion takeover of S&N.
Heineken would take control of its UK operations.
"It's all working well the way it is," he said. "There is no reason for Heineken to change anything."
