Brightsolid nets Senergy contract
SENERGY, the Aberdeen energy services company, has awarded a major internet services contract to Brightsolid, the IT and online publishing group that recently acquired the Friends Reunited website.
The three-year deal, valued at "several hundred thousand pounds" will link Senergy's seven UK sites, with bandwidth of 100 megabytes. Senergy previously contracted internet services to several providers
The contract was awarded to Brightsolid after a competitive tender. Chief executive Chris van der Kuyl said it continued to win business in the economic downturn as companies consolidated IT services.
Headquartered in Dundee, Brightsolid is owned by publisher DC Thomson.
