Call to retain Linlithgow Palace structure built for Chanel fashion show

a TEMPORARY structure built for the Chanel fashion show at Linlithgow Palace should be kept, local residents have said.

Retaining the pine-roofed verandah has also won support from the Linlithgow Business Association.

Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld is rumoured to have spent more than £2 million on the show at the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were expected at the party, but didn’t make an appearance.

A Historic Scotland spokesman said a decision would be made next year.
