Regus set to appeal after loss in court
OFFICE space supplier Regus has lost its legal battle against Lloyds Banking Group over fit-out costs at the Maxim office park complex, off the M8 motorway.
Regus pursued the bank amid claims that it was promised almost £1 million when it became the first significant tenant to move into the Lloyds-backed scheme in 2010.
However, a judge in Edinburgh argued that the bank had no more than a “moral responsibility” to make the payment after it walked away from Maxim last January, selling the debt to US private equity firm Cerberus. Regus is appealing the decision.
